Voluntary Blood Donation Program

      Voluntary Blood Donation Program is a continuing program of the QCHD that promotes and encourages voluntary blood donation among the citizenry and instill public consciousness to the principle that blood donation is a humanitarian act.

Objective: To  provide  adequate , safe and equitable distribution of blood and blood products.

Strategies/ Activities

  1. Public Education- a public information campaign to promote voluntary blood donation utilizing various media:
  • Flyers
  • Posters and billboards
  •  News articles, press releases
  • Social media
  • Peptalk
  1. Partnership and collaboration with various stakeholders
  2. Blood donor recruitment in the community/ barangay, schools , offices and business firm.
  3.  Organization / Scheduling of mass blood donation sessions in strategic areas in the community and other identified venues.
  4.  Blood donor retention and care.
  5.  Blood donor registry
  6. Provision of blood units to those in need.
  7. Blood donor’s month celebration
  8. Advocacy campaign.
